Our interview is on 3/13/13. I know my fiance' in Ghana has to complete his paperwork, medical exams, and police report. But how do I put together this packet of evidence? I have our NVC petition package, tax transcripts, w2's, paystubs, emails, im's, phone records, photos from my 2009 and 2011 trips, and cards. Is there any special way to put these together or just label them neatly. I'm so nervous because they denied us for lack of evidence so I may be over thinking things.

Ps. I will be attending the interview with my fiance' this time.

what evidence did you present the first time? What was denied the first time? the k-1 application or the visa? In the meantime, being there at the interview is a smart move

He was denied his visa at the interview for lack of evidence. We presented about 100 emails, phone records and about 30 pics of my first trip including the engagement ceremony. Now, we have pics from my second trip, 500 emails, phone records, im's, letters of support from our family, plus me in the flesh. I'm hoping this is enough, but I was wondering how to package it to present to them at the window.

I ended up putting everything into a packed with a table of contents (see below). I did it primarily for my benefit and for my fiance to ensure that he kept everything in order after I mailed it to him. He said that they were very pleased at receiving such an organized packet. I don't know if it makes any difference, but a happy visa officer is a nice visa officer.

I-129F petition includes:

• Cover letter

• Form G-1145

• Form I-129F and continuation sheet for I-129F

• G-325A and continuation sheet with passport style photo (petitioner)

• G-325A and continuation sheet with passport style photo (beneficiary)

• Copy of birth certificate (petitioner)

• Letters certifying intent to marry (from both petitioner and beneficiary)

• Proof of having met in person in the past two years and of an ongoing relationship

• 5 chat transcripts

• 2 Lion Air receipts and accompanying tickets

• 8 photos

DS-156 application includes:

• Form DS-156K

• Form DS-230

I-134 application includes:

• Form I-134 and continuation sheet for I-134

• Tax Form W-2

• Tax Form 1040

• Original letter from my bank (2 copies)

• Bank statements for August 2011 - June 2012

• Original letter from my employer (2 copies)

Proof of Continuing Relationship includes:

• Letter of intent to marry

• Five chat transcripts

Well being there is the best option because you seem to have presented enough evidence the first time. You should have gotten married and file 1-30 the second time or contested their decision. anyway, there isn't any straight forward way for parkaging the evidence. Just have all the evidence with you to the interview. the possibility that you will stoke interview is high. Good luck

Interviews are usually done at "windows" They want what they ask for. Assembling a huge packet of paper with some sort of fastener will only insure you have to disassemble it to hand them what they want.

What I have used for all interviews is an accordion folder with labeled dividers and place the documents in each "pocket" loosely. When they ask for "Birth certificate" reach in that pocket and hand it over. Yada, yada. Put photos in one pocket, other evidence in other pockets. Works great.

Easy to assemble and disassemble, can be re-used for the next interview (AOS, ROC or Citizenship)just re-label the pockets and add the appropriate documents. Throughout the process I kept a file box of evidence and etc. Any time an interview came up I went to the big file box, took out what was needed, put in the folder and labeled it. After Alla got her citizenship most of that got re-cycled and I kept only the official notifications, now in a separate and much thinner, file.

Thanks! This is a great idea. Currently I have our evidence in an accordian style folder but the sections aren't divided, so I had to slip in plastic tab folders which I will label. So everything is loose and easy to pull right out. I am putting the cover letter/table of contents on the outside of the folder so I can have another point of reference too. Everything is coming together, just waiting on my visa to arrive.
