Greetings All!

Apologies in advanced if these question are redundant.

I recently went to Bangladesh and got married on July 7th 2012. I was only there for a week or so after the wedding. I applied for my wife first week of August 2012. After waiting about 2 months, I did not get a NOA letter. I called mid October expecting the worst. I spoke to an officer at USCIS who provided me with the EAC case number. I also verified my address with him which was correct. I checked the status online and it stated they received the application August 13th 2012. The officer stated everything was OK so far -- he was not sure why it was taking so long to process but stated it should be soon.

I check the estimated processing times and it is set for 7 Months for VSC. It will be 7 months March 13th 2013. I have been checking the 'USCIS Processing Time Information for our Vermont Service Center' -- and it has been only moving a a week (7 days) for the last 3 months. So it has moved 3 weeks in the last 3 months. Is this normal? At this rate -- it will take another 10 months for my wife to get here.

I wanted to know if anyone else got married in Bangladesh around spring/summer time last year and what their current case status is?

I know nobody knows how long it will actually take but how much longer can I expect to wait roughly?

What is the next letter I would receive?

Thank you for reading and appreciate any helpful responses.

assuming all is okay with USCIS, you will get NOA2 who's is the final approval from USCIS and they will forward your application to NVC. After 1-3 weeks of approval your case will be enlisted with NVC and this the lesser time consuming process if you have your docents apawrs ready in advance. As you are at the verge of approval try to get all your NVChandy so you can respond quickly.

Best of luck.

We married last year summer time and right now we are almost at a case complete at NVC. We filed through Chicago Lockbox, which was re-routed to VSC then to NBC. It could be that ours took less time since we were routed to NBC. The wait times are never the same for any two people, so it's hard to give an exact estimate or range. You can still start preparing for the next steps of paperwork just to be ahead and be ready to zoom through when time comes.
