hi there! I was put under 221g after the interview due to : " Petitioner failed to demonstrate financial capacity to sponsor an immigrant." I was stunned because showing the W2 of my fiancee(2011 & 2012), the earnings were above the 125% Poverty Guidelines...then the CO advised me to ask my fiancee to write a letter to the embassy stating that he will commit and support me all the way, then send a bank statement...and if I already have the said docs, I send it to the embassy with my passport...

I was interviewed last Jan 31, 2013, and I just sent the docs last Feb 12, 2013...I sent the letter from my fiancee, his bank statement, W2 of 2011 & 2012, pay stubs copy since august 2012 up to present, letter from employer, form 1040...

After receiving the 221g form, I was devastated and losing focus, I already resigned from my job effective march 1, plus am just a tourist visa holder now here in Thailand but I still tried to submit the docs regardless of my current visa status here...and God is so good...so just be patient and give whatever the consul advised you to submit...

221g must be a blessing in disguise to give us enough time to reflect and know our strength...keep on fighting!

congratulations!!!

Would you mind sharing us more details abt how long and what were you in AP for, am in AP for 16 days now......the waiting is killing me!!

thanks...goodluck too!

Congrats!!!
