Hello everyone,

We had our interview two weeks ago for F3 visa in Montreal. I wished I signed up here and get more info before the interview. I relied on NVC checklist which stated I have all the required documents. I also looked at the Montreal checklists and did not say that a police clearance is good for 1 yr. My Canadian police clearance was over a year old. During the Interview the consular officer says everything looks great and gave me 221g form with a note " send 3 passport and your recent police clearance". I sent it through Loomis/DHL last week and was received using ref # that was supposed to be for return of my passport if it was approved from interview. I called CSC phone contact about the mailing address and they said its 1155 rue St Alexandre. I said the forms said 315 Place d'Youville but she insist it's 1155 rue St Alexandre where I went for my interview. The phone rep also says that the reference number is also good from Montreal to me. I'm just not happy with her answer and they are close today to get another rep. I have three questions/concerns. How long you think I will have wait to get my passport back w/visa? (will I end up in AP?). Do I have to get another reference # for the return of my passport or Montreal will use the same ones I set up before the interview? Will my passport be send to their mail processing centre in another address? Thanks in advance for your response!

315 is the correct mailing address, that lady doesn't know what she's talking about. Sorry, can't help with your other questions.

The reference number stays the same, it's the number that you get when you register on the website to set up your interview etc. I have to do the exact same thing as you. They told me that once they receive it, it will be 3 to 5 business days and I will have my visa, but she gave me the same letter and yes you would send it to the address that is on that form.

Also note that today is a holiday for the US, so the consulate will not be open today and I know Montreal processes a bit slower but you should not be forever in AP waiting.

Thank you guys/gals for your respond and encouragement!

I made a mistake of listening to the lady from CSC about mailing

Address. Atleast she was correct about using the same ref #.

I sent it to the physical address at 1155 rue st Alexandre.

I realized they have to scan incoming mail from another site.

I hope the security downstairs just scan there and bring them

On the 15th flr:( I guess it's somewhere on 15th flr otherwise

They will return it to sender. Just a waiting game now...

i say get two other opinions, aye?

Call NVC and ask about it.

Call DoS Hotline and ask about it.

Yer chasing a VISA - USCIS doesn't know squat about Visas, usually.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Finally got a waybill no from Consulate and was pickup today from montreal. Loomis should have it at their facility soon. It took 12 business days to get our passports returned. I will post more about our experience from the physical, interview and csc courier process.
