Hallo. My name is Anna and A friend has suggested this webpage to me. I tried finding answers online but was unsuccessful. I came to the us as a tourist In August visiting my long term boyfriend (we met in 2010 when I came to the us as a au pair) and ended up staying, marrying and filing for adjustment of status. Our case is pretty simple but I did quit my job shortly before leaving for my vacation. I also have a little debt in my home country from ordering and a phone contract I made for my friend but the friend never paid leaving me with a big bill.

We will have our interview in 3 weeks and I'm wondering if any of these things will be an issue? I had reasons for quitting my job and had a new job interview scheduled 2 days after my flight home. And will uscis know about my debt? I had that debt back when I was an au pair and it was not an issue. My mom is also paying it off for me and once we are settled I plan on paying her back. Will these things be an issue?

Debt has nothing to do with immigration. Yours or his. its not a problem.
