yep, because you have to have enough cash to support the familly for 5 years (I couldn't believe this when I first read this. Probably cause in France they don't ask half of a quarter of what the US are requesting to let people get married...) anywayOff-Topic2.gif: 15000/3=3000 a year.

For the k1 i think its 3x

Sponsoring a spouse/fiance(e) or minor child is calculated at 3 times. For anyone else it is 5 times. That is from the I-864 instructions. When dealing with an I-134, the I-864 guidelines tend to be followed as well, but a CO does not have to adhere to those when dealing with an I-134 and K-1 visa. It is also supposed to be 100% of the poverty level for the I-134, but many consulates still want to see at least 125%
