First thanks for responding and commenting, anything will help me cause I'm very new to this. I just got my receipt number Friday and was very excided. Anyways, Since I received my NOA1 Friday I saw that I am filed throug Vermont Service Center. I was hoping it was the California one but oh well. I looked up the processing times for the VSC and they said July 2. 2012. What does that mean? They will not even touch mines till July??? omg!!!

Anyone knows any reviews are has experience with the Vermont office?

Please Comment.......

No. It means they are currently processing applications that were received in July. That date is not entirely accurate (it never is) as there have been August approvals.

You need to prepare to wait 5-9 months before hearing news about your case.

VSC such a blessing to us!it moves so fast!less than a month we got approved!so hang in there!u will be surprise..

That is very rare, and people should not expect that to be the case for them.

It's not getting longer and longer. It's pretty much the same since I filed in 2010.

3-5 months if you're lucky. Less than that if you're very, very lucky. For the vast majority, it's 5+ months.

The average tends to be six months. You're going to have the same amount whether you're filing with Vermont or California. It's a long wait and there's nothing you can do to speed it up. Use the time to prepare and read up on the rest of the process so that the post-NOA2 steps are less strenuous.
