I-485 Filing Problem

I just read requirements for filing I-485 and didn't realize they want an NOA2 from the I-129F. I sent this with the I-129F but missing a copy of the NOA2. Do they really need this for K1? Since you can't get a K1 visa approved without a NOA2 why do they need it again?..

Yes it is needed. Do you have a copy? If not it is costly to get a copy from USCIS. If you send without it, you may get an RFE

The USCIS instructions tell it like it is. It is their requirement. There have been reports of folks having success sending in a copy of their email notification of their K-1 petition approval, not sure of the success rate. Use the forum Google search function for details.
