I have sent my first police to Nvc on january 17but somehow until now I receive checklist said its still missing police certificate in order to complete the case. My question is that if they lost it do I have to send another one ? I called them they keep said they dont have it .however,Im only have 2 police certificate and you only allow to get 2 police certificate per year. I'm afraid when interview at us consulate in Ho Chi Minh they will ask for police certificate ?

Did you label the police certificate for them and did you include a translation? They're supposed to accept original untranslated police certificates in the consulate country's native language, but sometimes they won't know what paper is the PC unless it's properly labeled. What they could be wanting from you is a translation. I forgot to include my translation and did not label my pc so I got a checklist for that.

Everything was done by lawyer I don't knows if he do that or not. I just can't trust them

When I mailed the DS-230 package in for my spouse, this is what I included on the cover letter and it was approved with no problem. I did not mail in any translated documents.

Here are the documents included with my petition:

• Document Cover Sheet w/Barcode

• 2 Visa Photos – beneficiary

• Form DS-230 Part I completed/signed, 2 pages

• Supplement Page for DS-230 Part I

• Form DS-230 Part II completed/unsigned, 2 pages

• Passport Biographical Page Photocopy

• Original/Copy of Birth Certificate (Giấy Khai Sinh) – beneficiary

• Original/Copy of Marriage Certificate (Giấy Chứng Nhận Kết Hôn)

• Original/Copy of Police Certificate (Phiếu Lý Lịch Tư Pháp Số 2) – beneficiary

Did you send in the Phiếu Lý Lịch Tư Pháp Số 2? They stopped using the Phiếu Lý Lịch Tư Pháp Số 1 late last year.

Yes friend . My attorney sent Ly lich tu phap number 2 which NVC said they never receive it. I doubt it's lost in the mail. I called them today they told me photocopy is fine so I sent the photocopy and they received . Also, I overnight the package . I don't trust my lawyers staff anymore they never check their emailS

I know how you feel about NVC losing documents. Every packet I sent they send me an e-mail saying some documents are missing and when I check the copies I made of my packages and the check lists where I had a family member checked them off as I put them in the mailing package I know I sent them and in my opinion they just not want to admit they misplaced them. I put our case number on every page of every document I sent as they asked.

With my I-864 they claimed I sent the I-864 Form only and no supporting documents, so I had to resend all those supporting documents. Then we sent the DS-230 packet IV and they said a marriage certificate was missing.

With NVC losing documents, and the offices in the country where my wife is keep messing up documents (like her Birth Certificate where she had to go to court to get them to correct it even though an older copy was correct), this is dragging on for us since I first applied for her in Feb 2011.

Wish all you better luck

Thank you everyone. Our case is current on December 2012 but till now we haven't receive our interview letter yet. They told us the case was complete on August 2011 but when i requested CSPA for my daughter which they review the case and said that they said they missing ds230 and police certificate. I'm mad at my lawyer he suppose to manage our case but he never look at NVC email requested .. I guess he should close out his bussiness . Anyway, I don't know how long should I wait . It's been 11 years waiting i wanted to immigrate to us live with my dad. Every months waiting for the NVC sent interview letter it's just a pain. II called them they said they will notified us when interview is schedule . I believe April is already schedule I guess I should expect interview may or later. Hopefully
