Regulation bringing Liquor or Wine for Cathay Airline or other airline back to Viet Nam

Is anyone knows any regulation bringing Liquor or Wine for Cathay Airline or other airline back to Viet Nam?

We are flying out to VN after Tet. We plan to bring 5 Liquor with Remy Martin, and 5 bottle of wine back for our family in Viet Nam.

Any suggestions for the Liquor, or wine taste better than Remy Martin?

Carrying Alcoholic Beverages in Checked and Cabin Baggage

A passenger is allowed to take alcoholic beverages which are in retail packages with alcohol content between 24% and 70%, and in receptacles not exceeding a total net quantity of 5 litres per person as checked or cabin baggage.

Note: Alcoholic beverages containing 24% or less alcohol by volume are not subject to any restrictions.

*Carriage of alcoholic beverages in cabin baggage is subject to the Liquids, Aerosols and Gels regulations of individual countries.

You can bring as many as you want; however, when you get to the Tan Son Nhat Airport, you have to give those people at the "Check Out" gate $50-$100

before they let you out. I was there couple of months ago, anh I have to pay them $10 per bottle of Reme Martin. Good Luck!

The Airlines don't care how many you bring with you, as long as it's within the limit of 50 lbs per baggage. I brought 7 bottles of Reme Martins, anh I have to give those #### hole $70 before they let me out.

Yup.. thats the issue, the duty you may get hit with... Thats the crappy thing with the HCMC airport... they scan all of the luggage as you leave to see if they can get any money out of you for phones booze whatever... They don't do that at all in Hanoi... once you get your luggage from the belt there, you are pretty much done... you may have to wave to a customs agent sitting in a chair reading... I remember some VJ members saying they have been blasted for 100+ for different things they brought over. We had a discussion a few years ago trying to iron out how much the duty was for certain items and when it comes to technology and alcohol it can be pricey$$$$$ .

With small electronic devices, you can put them in your pocket, I haven't been tagged for items in my pocket.

You should be able to bring a hand full of iphones in your pockets without raising suspicion if you wear the right clothing.

If you have bulging pockets, then that is a different story. If you are bringing a bunch of ipads... Yeah.

How would one get through those final scanners with them without raising attention? OK empty your pockets load your luggage on this scanner etc... thats just an HCMC thing...

Do they ask you to empty your pocket? They didn't last time I was at hcmc, but that was some time ago. They only scanned baggage. Maybe things changed since then.

My mom bring 6 iphone phones to Vietnam . The custom immigration asking for 20 bucks ??? Hide on your pocket don't leave anything on the luggage and take box out. One of her friend got caught for the iPhone box they in the luggage they making money of my him and checking my mom luggage .Otherwise, she don't get charge or anything
