Hi guys, this is my first post!

Myself and Adrienne received out NOA1 on July 27th so I'm hoping we are just weeks away from a decision. I'm in the process of getting together everything needed for the Interview, birth cert', police record etc. I'm wondering though if I will need the I864 because I've read some conflicting posts on here.

I've been on the London US embassy site and came across this:

What about the fiancé(e) of a U.S. citizen who is applying for a fiancé(e) visa?

An I-864 is not required when applying for a fiancé(e) visa. An I-864 will be required at the time the fiancé(e) visa holder applies to adjust his or her status from nonimmigrant to conditional resident with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services(USCIS).

Is this correct or has anyone been caught out at the interview for not having one?

Any info would be great :)

Keeping our fingers tightly crossed over the next couple of weeks!

Cheers.

Floyd.

Yes, you will need the I-134 form, to be completed by the Petitioner (as well as by a co-sponsor if it is required) and the completed and signed form is to be physically mailed to the beneficiary to take to their interview, along with the supporting documents for the I-134, such as tax transcripts, financial/employment information and records.

Hope you get to the next stage soon, you're almost there! :)

That is correct. The I-864 is required when adjusting status once the beneficiary is in the US and married. The I-134 is required for the K1 interview.

Magic! Thanks for your quick response! I actually just did a bit more digging and found most of this out. But I guess there's no silly questions here. :)

So my Fiancé' has only been in work for 6 months, and before that was unemployed/a student for a couple of years. Her Dad will be sponsoring me, but do they both still have to fill out the form.

Many thanks!

Yes, they will both need to fill out a form and include supporting evidence. Pay stubs, bank statements, etc.

London isn't that strict with the I-134 as long as somebody fills one out, has enough money, and proves it. If your fiancé currently makes above the poverty level then prove it with pay stubs an an employer letter. It's current income, so his income is what he makes right now, carried out to a year's worth at that rate. A tax return is not a requirement for the K1 in London.

Here's a very helpful thread that is London k1 specific that you should try to read in it's entirety before your NOA2 is approved. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/
