Has anyone used a Visa service provider to assist in getting their Nigerian Visa? If so, would they recommend using them again? If not, how difficult was it to do the process on your own? I'm debating whether or not to use a Visa service versus applying directly with the Nigerian Embassy or Consulate. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I used traveldocs.com when I requested my Nigerian Visa. Nigeriaorbust is correct, they are pricey. But I hadn't started the petition process yet when I visited. But I believe I would use them again if the opportunity arose to travel back to Nigeria simply because I'm still recuperating from the visajourney, and don't want to handle anymore paperwork for awhile...:blink:

Hello, well.. I did it all on my own. I didn't even know know about VJ (lol). I just read very well and took my time filling out the paper work. Everything went fine. First don't let the process scare you or intimidate you. Pray and get started... No need to wait. I can't say not to use a service because Toni used on and it went well. I just didn't have the extra money to use them. Most people do it themselves and ask questions of the ones who have gone thru the process and the husband or wife is now here. I don't mind helping if you email me...Toni has great answers as well as we pretty much went thru the end of processing together. Blessings... you can do it!

A friend of mine from honduras attended my wedding so I helped her get a visa. It was no hassle, though a friend's friend put in a word for me and it was ready same day. we picked it up next day though cos we had drived very far from the location. so without that extra help i think it would have been a smooth proces still.

If Im reading this correctly you want a nigerian tourist visa for yourself? If not sorry lol. You dont need anyone to help. its so easy. ive successfully applied for 3 directly to the embassy in dc. just got my third today. some dont even send half of what the embassy ask for and still get it. besides...any service you get will still have you pay for it on the immigration site yourself then just assemble the paper for you. I sent my fiances bio page from passport. a letter from him inviting me saying he will provide food and shelter....first page of my banks statement...only had 200 in my account..(blacked out acct number)a ticket itinenary printed out from email(it wasnt even paid for yet)and in my case a wedding invitation showing i was going for wedding. put that with proof of payment printed from the nigerian embassy site...3o dollar money order made out to embassy of nigeria..and include a paid usps express envelope addressed back to yourself. i got it back in 5 days and im on west coast.

That is wonderful. I've been worried about that. I will submit for my visa next week. Going back to see my hubby for 6 weeks and so excited. Cant wait until April 13th.

I'm working on my visa now and would like to know if I attach my passport picture to the application or someplace else?

I had mine still in that walgreens card holder and just stuck in in my passport. so they saw it sticking out. its realy is no big deal where u put it...as long as its noticible and in the envelope.. if you dont have the card thing..just put in envelope label it and make sure its included with everything.

A big thanks for the advice. I received my passport with Nigerian visa back last week which was less than a week after it was delivered. I requested a 24 month multiple entry visa but they only gave me a 12 month multiple entry visa. No lele. I'll be on my way to see my husband in April!!!!!
