Hi everyone,

yes, we are still alive even we haven´t posted much in a while.

But today we would like to share the latest and really good news with you.

Today finally was our big day. I, Rico, had the interview appointment with the consulate in Frankfurt.

Everything went just fine. Within less than a hour I was done and got told from the consular I will receive my passport with the visa and all other papers by mail next week.

The interview itself was more like a small talk with the consular and the guy was as kind as he only could be.

I got there with two folders full of documents and evidence of our relationship is still ongoing and I thought it might be required or they at least wanted to see some of them. But besides of the required documents from the check list they didn´t ask for one single thing. The only what the consular has asked me was, when last time I have been in the US and when last time my honey was here in Germany.

Since my son is going to eventually follow me to the US at a later time next year and he has applied for his K2 visa, I actually expected the consular might ask him or me more questions but the only my son had to do was him to swear on all information on the forms were true and filled in by best knowledge. And of course we had to leave our finger prints.

I have read in older posts about when people have told about their experiences with the consulate in Frankfurt and how nice everyone would be there and I only can agree on that. So whoever will have their interview in Frankfurt, don´t be worried and don´t get all nervous like I was. There is no reason for. Just make sure you will provide all required documents from the checklist you will get with package #3.

Well, in 3 weeks from today, on Nov. 30 my honey will arrive here to Germany and on Dec 13 we will go back home together to Texas and we finally can get started that life together, we had to wait for such a long time.

Our wedding is planned for January but we haven´t set up any exactly date yet.

Since we are posting this latest news about our journey we also would like to use the occassion and want to thank everyone whoever has answered on any of our questions we have posted here within the past several months and who has helped us with any advices or even just by them trying to encourage us a bit when sometimes we almost lost our hope this long journey might never come to an end. This forum was the best help and support we could think of for us to have while going through this process and we for sure will stay members of it and keep updating our timeline and try to help those couples they are still at the begin of their journey.

We would like to wish everyone all the best and good luck. And guys, don`t lose your hope even if sometimes things might look hopeless to you. Everything will work out fine if you only meet all the requirements for this process.
