Hi guys! How are you surviving without your loved ones??? My fiance left Japan for his new base in Texas 2 weeks ago and I already miss him like crazy!

By the way, I just got scared by my name on my old passport and my name on my visa we applied. Since I'm Japanese, I don't have alphabet name. So name can be Yuka or Yuuka I would say. I put Yuka for my first passport but I used both Yuka and Yuuka randomly because I thought Yuka is right but I like Yuuka better. I got an underage drinking ticket when I was in the states as an exchange student. It states Yuuka. And I thought there should not be different names between the police record and the K-1 visa application for the service center. So I started using Yuuka for everything but Now I'm getting worried because my case status says Initial Review which means they are doing our background check. They might get confused by similar names and delay or deny? DO you think they would? I'm wondering if we should call them or not.

Thank you!

I doubt they will get confused. Chances are you will be ok, though we did have a case once where someone who used both Steven and Stephen got into trouble for this... on the form, there is a place where you list "all other names used"- did you put both spellings on there?
