Hello, I need some advice? My wife who is in Ethiopia worked in Kuwait for five years as a contract maid. She has completed her last contract and is in Ethiopia till our CR-1 is completed.I would like to know how can she go to Kuwait to get the police report when the only way would be to get another contract to work as a maid. Are there any other ways of getting the police report from ethiopia or will the people at the interview understand and deem it impossible to get and wave it.

Thanks,

State in your coverletter to NVC when you send your DS-230 package that the Kuwait police report is an "unobtainable document"

Than you can deal with the embassy come interview time.

Or you can email your embassy you will interview at and ask them what you should do.

Why does she have to go there to obtain it? Can you not apply online or phone the proper office in Kuwait? I know that police checks from some countries can be very tricky to obtain, but I would try all possible avenues first. Don't rely on NVC to give you a pass on that one. good luck x
