I was just curious about when giving things at ur interview..

Hi guys Hope everyone is doing great! Okkk so anywayss..

I was just trying to play it all out in my head..and the way I see it, when you go to the interview, when u first enter, someone takes all ur extra evidence you bring, photos and all, and other things they want a second copy of even though you sent it in with the packet to the embassy. I was just thinking, What if you want to bring in a copy of the original I129f packet you sent. Or not even that, but you know all the forms you must send in with packet 3 to the embassy? what if you wanted to bring extra copies of those just in case. Will they take all those things from you, I just think theyd be annoyed maybe and be like why are you bringing an extra copy of everything u already sent! ..but then again they kinda must not realize how a lot of times they send stuff in and then SURPRISE , they want it AGAIN at the interview haha..

well what do you guys think? any thoughts at all?

It's very wise for the beneficiary to have a complete copy of the petition package in hand -- well before the interview, for study and review purposes.

It's good to have the packet at the interview in case something is asked.

It's best to have originals of important documents -- birth certificates, divorce certificates, etc. -- to provide for the consul to look at. The originals are not kept; sometimes, the consul may make a photocopy of it there and return the original to the beneficiary.

Both the beneficiary and the petitioner should retain complete copies of everything that is ever submitted to USCIS or the consulate. After naturalization (citizenship), you can hold a ceremonial bonfire of all that paperwork.

But I only have one complete copy of the original I-129F packet i sent in, will the people at the interview take it???

The consulate won't want another copy of the package that they already have. However, they might ask for the original versions of certain official documents (marriage/divorce certificates, for example) if copies of those things were sent to USCIS with the petition.
