Hi everyone, any ideas what might be going on with my I-130 process...my wife filed my I-130 on August 2012 and later she was asked to go for an interview at Los Angeles Immigration office since my case was send there. At the interview she was asked if we are married since we also filed I-129F...everything went ok and she said that we are married and have been for 6 years. Officer told that she will be asked to go for a second interview sometime at the end of December 2012-beginning of January 2013 and she will be given an answer at that appointment. No interview yet. Any idea if this is normal process ? Are we close to a timeline ? Thanx for all info.

While basic, quick interviews for the petitioner have become more common since cases are now being sent to local offices for processing, a second interview is not common. Normally the case would be approved, sent on to NVC, then the embassy and then you'd have your interview abroad.

Are there any red flags about your case, anything odd? What kind of questions was she asked?
