My fiancee had his interview today, and he was given a blue sheet and the Immigration Officer said the further processing will take 3 to 4 weeks. Does the different color of sheets mean anything?

Not for Islamabad... other countries it does... sorry to hear he received AP but it really isn't uncommon at this embassy and if they request any other documents during AP get them to the embassy ASAP..

Best of luck!!

Well they did't ask for anything else. He didn't ask for any of the documents he had with him which were the affidavit of support, employment documents, tax transcripts, call records, nothing. He said, they already had call records when the petition was submitted. Just saw the pictures and asked where were the pictures taken, and they also kept his passport.

Yeah they did that with us too but sometimes they send an email or phone call asking for something else even if they didn't ask for it on the 221g so if they do that just get it in as quick as possible otherwise hopefully it wont be a long wait for you

Hey! Salaam,

Sorry to hear that they gave him AP. But if they said 3-4 weeks I've read on various other topics that sometimes they just say this as a standard but they call earlier to pick up the passport. Keep your head up and pray to Allah, I understand it is hard as I'm going through the same process. Just keep praying and In sha Allah he will get his passport back soon. Did he tell you what they asked him in the interview? Could you possibly post that up as our case will be at that point soon and maybe it will help us a little.

Please and Thank you,

I'll pray for you all and I hope you will keep me in your prayers as well. Congrats on the process so far I'm sure you'll hear back soon.

Thank-you so much!! And yes I will always keep you in my prayers.

Fiancee was put into AP, but overall was a good experience. Consular was very nice and respectful. Did't ask for further documents. Fiancee had taxes, affidavit of support, employment documents, call records, consular said he didn't need those. Just saw additional pictures that was it. Questions were simple: how we met? where is she from? what does she do? where so you live? what do you do? Lastly, was given a blue sheet and kept his passport and was told that it would take 3 to 4 weeks for further processing.

Man! That is a sigh of relief! I think I'll still have him take some of those things with him, I think he's going to need to print out some pics of us together. :( I hate this process may Allah help us all! I have a good feeling about your case, I'm sure in sha Allah it won't take long for yours, it's good they told him weeks in stead of Allah na karay months! Where is your fiance from? if you dont mind me asking. How is wedding planning going? It sucks here because we have no idea when they'll let us be together how can you possibly plan anything decent!

Mariam, he is from Peshawar. Omer, all we need to do is pray and pray and just wait. This is really a hard process and dealing with the long distance, but at the end we will see the light and God will help us!! So, don't get discourage we are all in this together.

Well I must say that they are going strict on K-1 visa's

Had three interviews on 9th Jan before me..

Three CR-1's ... 2 Male's (Including Myself), 1 Female (All Approved right then & there)

One K-1 ....... 1 Male (Somewhere from Punjab) (AP)

One Family (5 Adults) ... Put on AP told to wait for 4-5 Months.

So in my point of view there must be something in this K-1 which raises the eyebrows of CO

hmmm interesting, or maybe is it because of the city someone is from that they put people on Ap example like if you live in the northern part of Pakistan near to the terrorist . My fiance is sindhi from Hyderadbad and we didnt get any AP..this is just my thoughts..
