I need a little advice from you ladies. We received our interview letter the other day after only 2 months. I am not complaining, however, as many of you know, our twins are due next month right around the interview date.

Should I call and try to reshedule, or should I just wait and see as we get closer to the interview if I will have delivered by then or not? I dont want to risk them recheduling me for 6 months from now becasue we are so grateful to have gotten the interview so quick. :help:

I would wait and see what happens. You don't want to reschdule and you haven't delivered yet. And like I said to Papcawn, (IMO) being pregnant or having kids together is the best proof of relationship.

Good luck!

Well, I signed up Lake for a forklift driving class today. He did really well and got his certificate, I am hoping the fact that he is doing things like this will impress prospective employers! :)

Good luck Lake! And congrats on the Math section of GED

Hi everybody,

I'm stuck at work on this beautiful, warm Saturday night :crying: To top things off I have a new boss who is a total pain in the butt. He wants me to work Sunday too :ranting: As if 6 days a week isn't enough?!! It's a constant uphill battle at this job. I hate it.

Anyway, going back to catch up. Hope everyone is doing well.

That is insane! Will your schedule always be so hectic?

Happy birthday Ann (F)

Hey Jonesie. This is trip number 3 this year. The first one was for Damien to go home for 4 days cuz I didn't want him to wait until July to see his family...I only missed 2 days from work; second trip was a special trip with my daughter... I only missed 1 day from work cuz of the holiday weekend; this trip....I will use at least 40 hours of my leave. Not bad for 3 trips. I have plenty of leave but I plan my trips carefully.

I went to see some one at the office of Dennis Hastered today in IL. He checked my papers and told me how it would all work. He said as long as I do the paperwork he will check them free of charge. That I didn't need a lawyer. In IL this a free service the state govenors give us! Yippee. My dad came with and said he didn't understand the lingo at all. He thought maybe they could speed the process since he is a goverment employ they said no no. Really nice he said my case should go through since I have evidence all the way back to 1998. He said he has more problems with people not having enough evidence on their spouse or fiance. Especially the ones with significate others from Phillipions or China. Who have meet once and talked a little on the internet. Did u know in China after the USA approves your paper work it takes another 9 months to get your interview crazy!! So I am very Happy Happy THat the signed copy of the marriage license will work and not the offical one for the paper work. HAPPY SO HAPPY!! I can change my name and everything just fine. Will have to just wait for the certified one to change my passport

Jax -- I have been thinking about this since I read it on Saturday and it's been bothering me. Please don't get upset by what I have to say.....

In the past year (since I joined VJ) I have seen so many people who have hired (stupid) attorneys or listened to what their "local goverment" officials have had to say and have had their cases messed up. (I actually had talked to a highly regarded Immigration Attorney is San Francisco BEFORE I started the process.....most of the information she gave me was 100% wrong!! If it wasn't for me finding VJ, there is no way we would be in the shape we are in today.)

The thing that has been bothering me the most is the marriage license thing. I haven't heard of anyone who got approved without submitting the Certified license. They are very clear on that point. And, I would have to think that with Jamaica (still) being a "high fraud" country that not having the Certified copy would cause major problems. I know you want things to move faster than they have been....but, I personally think that if you send in the license that you are planning on sending that you will just get an RFE and have to wait for the Certified copy anyway.

This is just my opinion and I don't want you to think I am a B*^$#. I just don't want to see you get your hopes up if this person is giving you bad information.

I agree...in the end I believe it's better to be safe than sorry. Cover all ends and if you didn't need it, at least your process will go smoother (no RFE's) and faster.

Whichever decision you make, good luck (F)

I appericate your opinons. I won't have to wait when I get back anyways because my wedding planner is getting the offical copy expediated before I come back. Why is Jamaica such high fraud? I know the goverement is corrupt and have followed the goverment parties. I apperciate the comments from the experienced members of YARDIES who have gone through this process. Thank you!

Happy Birthday ANN! What are u doing on your brithday?
