Hello everybody,

I'm new to this whole visa journey and even though I've been reading through tons of pages and threads here, I'm a little confused now so I figured before me and my lovely man do something wrong, I'd better ask.

In the guide on the main page here it says:

1. The US Citizen files the I-129F petition for the foreign fiance(e) with the USCIS. The I-129f is filed at a USCIS Service Center in the US (where you file depends on where you live).

What excatly does this mean? When we click on the address buttons, we get to the USCIS website that shows this address:

USCIS

P.O. Box 660151

Dallas, TX 75266

My finacé lives in California. So does this mean this is the wrong address?

Hope this question isn't totally stupid...

All petitions are sent to the Dallas Lockbox. From there, USCIS processes the payment and ships the petition package to either the California Service Center or the Vermont Service Center, where the package will wait to be adjudicated.

I-129 Applications are sent to Dallas Lock Box regardless of where you or your fiancee live. This is centralized location for K1 visas.
