What I did , my wife case was at the NVC for around 5 months Before they gave me an appointment , I called the NVC asked the supervisor what to do , he said expedite you case to us by this email NVCExpedite@state.gov

Then in a couple weeks I got my interview on January 9 this year ,

They will tell you they will accept it if thy are resident in Jordan now for 6 months ,

By the way , the U.S. Embassy in sanaa they allready informed all the other Embassy not accept Yemeni case . That is 100%

How did they accept your expedite request? What was the reason you were able to get an expedite? Because i tried to for my husband and was denied.

I have just received an email for a visa interview for April 23 2013

Hey I have a question. Where did you send your i-130 to? I was planning on sending mine to the Chicago local box. How come ur profile says Vermont?

I'm just confused.

This is what I got back from embassy

I understand your desire to have your wife join you in the United States. However, the Consular Section in Sanaa is currently operating with extremely limited staffing. Your wifes case is still with the National Visa Center and we are not accepting new cases from NVC until our staffing improves. Therefore, I cannot give you a timeline for when your wifes case will be transferred to Yemen and scheduled for an interview. It will not be in the near future.

Wow that's sad. I feel bad for all of us.
