Hi All,

I'm a bit confused are reading stuff on USCIS website hence writing it here...

I am a permanent resident of USA since 2010. I have been living in Australia since last two years due to completion of my studies which are due to finish in June 2013.

Before leaving USA in 2010, I had applied for a residency reentry permit which I currently hold and allows me to stay outside of USA till 31st January 2013.

I have been travelling back and forth to USA regularly (Mar. 2011, Feb. 2012, Sept. 2012).

My question is:-

(1) As I had entered USA last in Sept. 2012, am I allowed to stay outside USA till June 2013 or do I have to enter USA before the expiry datae of my current re-entry permit.

Would highly appreciate your guidance.

A re-entry permit would only be needed if it was going to be over a year from your most recent entry to your next entry, and you did not intend to relinquish your US permanent residency.

Since you last entered in September 2012 then you have until September 2013 to re-enter (using a valid green card); if you intend to next enter beyond that date then you will need to apply for another re-entry permit.

Day 385 (1/23/19) Denied

Day 400 (2/7/19) Denial revoked; N-400 approved; oath ceremony set for 2/14/19

Day 407 (2/14/19) Oath ceremony in Dallas, TX
