We sent our AOS package back in August of 2012. And I had interview in November from Orlando local USCIS office. After the interview, both I-130 and I-485 showed approval next day. So it seems like that you sent your package one month later. And your interview should be not far coming.

Why did you have to have an interview? Is that normal?

What do you mean? Cannot understand your point? Why cannot people avoid interview? Is that what you want to ask?

You are adjusting status and this is the sub forum for those who tend to be applying for CR1 s for spouses who live in other countries, it is a very different process.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

I already got my green card. And I know the OP is asking for updates from others. That's why I mentioned that I had my I-130 approval from a local office in Florida. I think the OP will appreciate it. Thank you for your time input though.
