Start by networking with groups in your area. Try and get face time with recruiters in the field you want to work in.

Nothing will land in your lap, you must drive this process yourself.

11/29/12 - AOS Interview in Atlanta - 10 minutes long and approved on the spot.

ROC in 2014!

you're probably not going to be able to get a job as an engineer in Jamaica, Queens.

OTOH, you'll probably be just fine getting a job as a technician in Jamaica, Queens.

MOST technician jobs that pay anything are controlled by the union.

So, you'll need to learn WHERE the union meets for their montly meetings,

then show up and start networking there, looking for open postings

as a technician

in

telecommunication, networking, cable tv

Union controls the better jobs in your area, so it makes sense to go to the union meetings.

You need to go in person, as it truly is a hidden cabal.

Good Luck !
