Hi all, we received a RFE a few weeks ago. We were waiting until after xmas to submit everything so we can include xmas cards that we received and xmas pictures. Well, we are getting everything ready to submit as we have only until Feb 7th to submit the RFE. Long story short, we have serious problems with some bad neighbors of ours and we are leaving our apartment next week. We will move in temporarily to my parents house for probably a month or 2 until make settlement on a house.

What should we do? Do the Change of address 1st? then send in the RFE? the RFE has my current address on it and we don't want anything sent to our apartment since its a duplex and the mail comes together for the 1st and 2nd floors...I am going to try and put a hold on our mail at the post office but not sure they will be able to just separate my mail for me. If anything from USCIS comes in, they will take it since they don't work and always get the mail 1st. I can put my parents address so everything will go there but not sure if I should send out the RFE now then do a change of address. Also how long does it take for them to process a change of address?

What should we do?

Thank you, is there any way to change the address over the phone? I will have everything ready this weekend to mail for the RFE but don't know if I should change the address before or after...we don't want no more delays, the additional year expires in March.

do the ar-11 online and then print out your confirmation. you can't do it by phone. also, make sure that your sponser mail out the 1-865 change of address. he would have to mail it out. go to the post office and also file a change of address with them. you can also tell them to hold your mail which is no cost. also, after mailing out the sponser's 1-865 change of address he will get a receipt by mail from uscis.
