Zero Dark Thirty

The Senate Democrats have decided to investigate the sources that contributed to Zero Dark Thirty, as apparently the movie contradicts what really happened. Can someone explain to me how this makes sense?

If no EI (enhanced interrogations) took place, there is nothing to investigate. Somebody made up a story for a movie. Even if it was someone in the intelligence community with the imagination, I hardly see that as a crime.

So isn't the investigation an admission that EI actually took place? And even then, it seems like a bad idea. Most people probably won't see the movie and most that do won't think it was telling the real story. The investigation just gives the movie credibility and draw.

I just got through reading the book "No Easy Day" the story told by "Mark Owen" one of the lead seals on the mission. Supposedly an investigation was done on both the sources and the contents of the book to see if any military secrets were compromised. Maybe this is on that same level? I believe any movie or book like this has to pass muster before it is released, so maybe they found something after the fact?

The book was an excellent read btw, gave a great insight into seal life.
