I'm sending in proof of having met in the last 2 years (dated pictures, boarding passes, luggage tags, passport stamps, etc) with my I-129F. Do I really need to send in proof of ongoing relationship also? That is a lot of paperwork to add. I thought these items could be presented at the interview instead. Thanks in advance.

Yes, include as much as possible. The less you have for proof, the less chance it will be approved or not flagged. They don't want to just know about when you started your relationship they want to know it is still on going. It will look like a book by the time you are done but it is all necessary... especially with the tightened security.

"But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield." - Psalm 5:11-12 New King James Version (NKJV)

At this stage, proof of ongoing relationship is not needed yet. Proof of ongoing relationship will be from the period you filed your petition to the interview stage. Best wishes with your petition (F) (F)

Print off emails or chats that show on going relationship. I sent about 10 plus some Xoom receipts. My chats and emails were dated to show the previous 6 months chats so every 2 to 3 weeks apart. You don't have to show daily chats. That's over kill. Good luck

Proof of ongoing relationship is only needed for when the embassy receives your approved I-129f packet. It is completely irrelevant to the USCIS processing of your petition. To get an approved I-129f, all you need is to prove you have met within the last 2 years, you are both free and willing to marry and the petitioner is a US citizen. Anything else is just fluff and will just be seen by the embassy when they receive it.

I also included copies of cards we sent each other. Christmas/valentines/B-day etc. Be sure to copy the envelope with postal stamps.

You can send proof of your relationship. It does not hurt and can obviously only strengthen your case but at this stage it is not necessary. Sending additional documentation at this point I believe is called "front loading" your petition (though I could be wrong).

Edit: Just to add, we did "front load" our petition and were approved with our K-1.

We front loaded ours and didn't have a problem at all with getting it approved out the start. The only hiccup was during the interview and we got Admin Review BUT they passed us through before a week was up. It was rather smooth for us just took what felt like a very long time!
