Just want to know. I know my fiancee have to file I-485 change of status. How about our 2 minor kids (7 & 3 y/o)? Is it on one application or individualized?

Do I still have to file I-864? I seemed to have done this before when my fiancee was about to be interviewed.

Any other papers we should file (with USCIS)? Aside from the SS#

Though you didn't mention visa status of children...they immigrated with K-2 visas?

As you know some folks are busy, we do not have time to read every lines on a website. WE DON'T LIVE ON THIS FORUM. We have jobs and things to do. All we want is an INTERACTIVE guide that's one of the function of a forum, just point the way don't have to be rude or insulting. We'll do the rest.

Now if you people feels that our question is outrageous then IGNORE it! We are not forcing you to answer every question that is posted here right? This is a free country.

I am grateful for the help but please, some courtesy would be nice. :ot:

What is there to "got ya"?

I come to this forum for guidance. Just give a straight answer what so hard with that? If links or guide are there just point it out, No need to include those snide remarks. If you feel you are the "King" of VJ go ahead I couldn't care less. Just keep your rudeness to yourself.

In addition to the guidelines which I followed I received an RFE asking for verification which I did not understand first when I called USCIS they explain they need the copy of the approval letter the one sent to the fiancée (non immigrant). The first letter from US Embassy.

If you have kids include them in your application... I did not include my stepson and I gets scolding from the immigration.

One more thing... I did not read the instruction well pls correct me if I'm wrong the signing of the form I-487 had to sign by the US Citizen not the immigrant, I was lucky enough to have the immigration officer to accept it and let me sign it otherwise it will gets further delayed.

Good Luck

I-485 is an application for Permanent Residence or Adjust Status and is signed by the applicant not the USC.

Good Luck
