I just got the notice of my I-130 in the mail. It reads:

"...NVC process all approved immigrant visa petitions that need consular action. I also determines which consular post is the appropriate consulate to complete visa processing. NVC will then forward the approved petition to that consulate."

Is this standard for all I-130 approval notifications? When we first sent our 1-130 we were both living in Candada. Since then I moved back to the states and changed my address through the USCIS. He moved to a different location in Canada. They were unable to change his address because it was a Canadian address and said that we needed to wait till our case was with the NVC.

My question is if this approval we got is standard for all NO2 notifications, or if we are still going thorough consular processing.

And, how can I change his address now that we are working with the NVC?

I am feeling really overwhelmed with all of this! Any insight would be wonderful.

Congratulations this is an approval. You now need to come to the NVC filers thread to get prepared for what you need to do at NVC. Please read the Post #1 and Post #2 in the thread. Again Congratulations.:dance:

Okay I would assume the whole letter reads like this.

CASE TYPE I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(e) , OR ORPHAN

NOTICE TYPE: Approval notice

SECTION: Husband or wife of u.s citizen, 201(B) ina

The above petition has been approved. We have sent the original visa petition to the (NVC) Department of state national visa center... NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that need consular action. It also determines with consular post is the appropriate consulate to complete visa processing. NVC then forward the approved petition to the consulate.

The NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning(beneficiary) concerning further immigrant visa processing steps.\

If you have any question about visa issuance, please contact the NVC directly. However, please allow at least 92 days before calling the NVC if your beneficiary has not received correspondence from the NVC. The telephone number of the NVC is (603)334 0700

The approval of this visa potions does not in itself grant any immigration status and does not guarantee that the alien beneficiary will subsequently be found to be eligible for a visa, for admission to the Unied States, or the and extension, change , or adjustment of atatus..

THIS FORM IS NOT A VISA NOR MAY IT BE USED IN PLACE OF A VISA
