Hello,

My first post here, and I am realizing I made a mistake. Our NOA-1 for I-129F was issued on Dec 7, and my fiancee got her A# assigned on Dec 11. Still in initial review. When I filled out the form, on the line where it asked what embassy/counsulate she would be applying at, I answered "Sapporo" since she LIVES in Sapporo, thinking that was obvious. Now, if I understand it correctly, it turns out I-129F applications are only processed at Tokyo and Naha?

My question I guess is do I need to submit something to the USCIS changing this, or should they simply ignore my answer on the form and send it to Tokyo anyway knowing that Sapporo doesn't offer that service?

Thanks!

The NVC will most likely forward it to the proper consulate. Several people have listed other cities in Mexico on their I-129F, but Juarez is the only place you can go. No matter what was entered on the form, they got forwarded to Juarez anyway.

Welcome to the forum.

They will know where to send your approved petition. Keep in mind throughout this process that it is their (US government) ballgame, their rules, and their playing field; they will tell you where the petition interview will be held.

Happy trails on immigration journey.

Thank you, I guess I won't sweat it then. I was worried they would just send it to the one I wrote on the I-129F, and it would be refused and get mailed around and lose me time. I feel a little dumb for not researching that, I thought I had dotted every 'i'. Ah well.

They do not process in Osaka? That's what I filled on our form.
