Need your help guys. We submitted our petition, now waiting for NOA2. i have a question:

Both names in my birth certificate and Passport match, expect the fact that the middle name in my passport lacks one letter. It is written as 'Kavere' in my passport while in my birth certificate its 'Khavere'. The letter 'H' is missing from my passport.

Will this pose a problem? Can i have my passport corrected at the time or will it contradict the copies that were sent with the petition. My fiance was thinking we could stick to using the initial 'K' and just stick with the first and last names.

Please help. I really need to know before my interview at the embassy.

i dont think this is a problem. it is just one letter and it foesnt make difference.

i have different birth dates and i am amending my passport and birth certificate. hopefully all get corrected before the interview time.

just know how much it takes to correct your passport in case CO asks you to correct it.

If you had filled the form out properly that is where you would have coevered it and any other names that may appear on legal documents/records to be presented at the embassy. It may raise a bit of an issue, once there was a report of denial for Stephen vs Steven but I think that was a front for deeper issues. Any form that has the ability to report other names, make a new copy of that page and take it with you to the interview. Tell the CO that you missed the spelling when you reviewed the package and you want to update the form if you can. Handling issues straight forwardly is always better than seeming to be caught in an error and making excuses.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
