My fiancee came on K-1 visa. Can someone explain to me how to do the AOS without a lawyer. Or is it best to just hire a lawyer? My fiancee is already here and I need to know step by step and exactly how to do the AOS process. I really appreciate the help. I am willing to talk on phone or you can respond here. I live in NJ, USA thanks

Yes, just follow the guidelines and make sure you include all the forms on the checklists and all the documentation requested and you should be fine. Make sure to pay attention to who is to sign what forms though. That was a bit confusing to me.
