I'm from the Philippines and my husband was born here too. But when we were right in the middle of our bf / gf (pretty serious but ultimately healthy) relationship, he was petitioned by his US Citizen step-mom, which was a few years ago. As soon as it got approved, he left to pursue the opportunity of living the American Dream. Of course as soon as he got his green card, months later he came back to marry me and precisely 2days after? Can you guess what happened?

..We gave birth! HA! Anyway, now he's officially an American Citizen, we're just waiting for my mailed requirements to arrive and he can then begin filing his petition for me and our now 5yo daughter.

Seeing as our petition is yet to be filed, I'm probably going to be hanging out here a lot to get my inevitable anxieties on our migration issues extinguished, so I thought saying "Hi!" would be very appropriate. Looking forward to getting to virtually know you guys! Thank you for reading this and talk to you soon.

Aww. Thank you Reese1! Appreciate the Welcome I just checked out your profile and I'm wondering where are you at now with the status? Or location? (Belated) congratulations on getting approved last September. Even though I have no clue what petition it is. I'm new so I only know so little.

That said, I can't wait for the day when we'll be looking back to this day relieved that it's all done and our family will finally be complete.

Can't ask for a better community. I gotta get some shut eye though, I haven't started with the petition yet and look at me staying up all night it's 6am here.

My family's plan is that instead of going straight to NC, where we will be living, my daughter and I are going to be visiting relatives and meeting the hubby in CA. That's gonna be our POE. And then we go home to NC. Where are you from?
