Timeline

Someone told me if you owed back taxes that you can be denied visa for that is that true??? then I was told by someone else that the embassy will not deny you for that. Has anyone been through this before who has went through the Lagos embassy. Thanks so much for your help!

They will ask you about it, for certain. I personally experienced it at the Nairobi Embassy and if I was not with my wife to explain things to the CO, then it would have been a challenge. I did not owe any taxes and the back taxes, in mention, were over 13 yrs prior to the interview and paid in full but it was brought up.

Follow the members to contact the IRS and get a payment plan!
