Friends,

My wife is in 2FA category, she is an intending immigrant.Am a permanent resident. My question is this, next year 2013 i have to file my tax return,i have heard people say i can't file single,it must be either married which is joint filing or married and file seperately because if i dont file as married it will raise a red flag during my wife interview in the embassy. Please friends if you have any clue about this topic feed me.

You are married - so you file as MARRIED filing jointly or MARRIED filing separately.

You are seeking to bring your wife to the US based on your MARRIAGE.

You are NOT SINGLE - so why would you think you can file your tax return as SINGLE?
