We been approved and we beyond happy for that now i have a question if anyone knows regarding the I-134 affidavit of support :

when they ask to state annual income u derive what amount should you put in there the gross annual income or the net one ?

Same with the supportive letter from employer what kind of amount should you state in there :

the basic salary , the monthly cashed salary , the annual net income or the gross one ?

also in the instruction they say to provide duplicate of the supportive evidence of income and resources as appropriate what does that means i gotta send 2 of the ones they said or each one needs to b send in 2 copies

sound like alot of question but just checking better to be sure then sorry

thanks :innocent:

I put my gross income on the I-134. My employer also put my gross income.

For the supportive evidence, they are looking for pay stubs that show how much you make. Also, send copies of your last 3 years of Tax Return documents.

i was thinking the 2011 tax return should b enough as i read they need the last 3 years tax return for when u adjust the status not for the interview .

already i had the gross one in my mind too .

thanks again

They are looking for gross annual income. The employer letter should also state your gross annual salary. As far as needing the last 3 years tax returns for the I-134, this is dependent on the consulate you are going through. Some may require only last years, some may require all 3. For the consulate my fiancee is going through, I originally thought they needed just last year's (2011), but they specifically ask for the year 2010. So now I am bringing all 3 years to be safe.

Gross Income (before taxes)

Supporting docs are: last 3 years of ITR or 1040 and W2, last few months pay stubs, Letter of Employment (company letterhead, annual or hourly income, permanent/temporary status)

Good luck!
