oh my God and did you ever contact them to know what is the cause of the delay ?

My husband had an infopass and they told him they received our case on February 26?! They also told him he should expect to wait 6-8 months from that date???!!! I'm still hoping it is not true, as it would make our wait over a year long, and just for NOA2

I called in recently to the Customer Service line and when I asked a basic CSR if she could give me the national processing time for I-130's (which CSR's are privilege to), she straight up told me that there is no standard processing time for I-130's any more, due to the very fact that the times are different by field office/processing center. That said, she noted that most places have waiting times between 6-8 months right now. I actually believe this CSR for once, because if you look at the NYC center, the Vermont center, and a few others, those folks have been waiting just as long as us ATL folk. I also talked to an immigration attorney recently (friend of a friend) and she gave me similar information. Her immigration law office is handling cases all over the southeast and she says that the typical waiting time for her clients has been at least 6 months, but typically 8-9 months :(

In short, we're definitely not alone. Not sure that fact makes me feel too much better though.

What I would like to know is whether the 6-8months count from the date of NOA1 or the date of the transfer. Because it took five months for our case to arrive at the NYC local office :bonk: I refuse to believe that those five months simply do not count!
