Yes you will need the GREEN NBI clearance because it's the one for travel abroad.

For purpose, put US Visa Application.

Hi! just want to ask if i need to secure police certificate here in Manila.

I am the Beneficiary, im a Filipina, i have never been out of the country. because i read in the packet sent to me that police certificates from outside countries that you reside for six months. So do i still to secure one in my homeland?

Hey there! NVC sent my husband and I an RFE, requesting police certificates for places he lived in 6 months or more (both abroad and in Phils). I recommend retrieving police certificates for each place you lived more than 6 months in Phils. My husband had to fly to Davao, Negros and Cebu to get his police certs from the barangays he lived in there. He also had to get police certificates for Metro-Manila places, like Marikina, Antipolo and Makati.

The CO did not ask to see any of it, but it could be because it was ALL there in the packet NVC sent them. On a side note, if you had any other AKA's, better put it in your NBI clearance (green one). My husband was adopted when he was already older, so although they approved his visa the day of his interview, he still had to submit an NBI clearance with AKA on it. As you can imagine, this kind of small detail can delay your visa - we are waiting for his to be issued na.

Good luck!!
