How is everyone's EID going? I've seen lots of postings on facebook about it these past few days and how everyone is celebrating. Several of our friends also shared posting about doing the Hajj this time of year. I learned for the first time about the Hajj which happens in the 12 month of the Islamic calander and about the minor Hajj called Umrah which happens in any other month than the 12th month. I didn't know there was a difference before between pilgrims heading to Mecca.

Our Islamic Center is celebrating this morning with EID prayers at 8 AM, and after the EID prayers they will have food to share and gifts for the kids.

Happy Eid! This is Ahmed's first year from home so I am trying to make it special for him. I am making all the foods his mom and sisters would make. I have invited our friends for dinner. I have then planned for us to go in a big group to an Arabian cafe for coffee tea and shesha. To top it all off this is a complete surprise! Ahmed doesn't have any idea! I have managed to keep this surprise from him which is amazing! By the time he comes home from work everything will be ready and our friends will arrive 30 minutes after he does. I hope everyone has a wonderful feast!

Today is an extra fun holiday/my son's birthday celebration. We went to prayers earlier, and are now waiting for our Dutch babies for breakfast. After that, presents!

We're not picking up our lamb until tomorrow am-last year there was an over two hour wait, no bueno. Later this afternoon we'll go to the indoor play park/mini golf. It's too rainy for outdoor stuff.
