processing time for LPR

Timeline

Hi i am an US LPR,going to have naturisation interview this month.i got married in 4/18/2008.my husband in india.i filed his 1130 priority date is 3/7/2012.havent heard anything frm uscis.i thought the processing time is only 5 months.why taking soo loong.we are so frustrated of being apart for more than 4yrs.anyone can tell me hw long we still have to wait after getting the citizenship.any hope to see the light soonn at end of tunnel???anyway to make the processing faster????any suggestions would really be appreciated.what would b the processing time at uscis and at NVC after i become USC.THANXXXX....

Timeline

As soon as you have your case number from UCIS you can email the copy of the naturalization certificate. Processing times has slowed down and now takes almost 7 months for a response after filing. You should hear from them within 6 weeks after you request the upgrade and things will move quickly.

Just get things ready.

Petitioner LPR upgraded to USC June 22, 2012
August 22, 2012: case complete
October 18, 2012: Interview (APPROVED)
October 26, 2012: Picked up visa from DHL (delay caused by Sandy)
December 15, 2012: POE Atlanta....................became USC July 2016!!!!

Mothers' Journey (My sister is the petitioner)

September 10, 2013: Sent I-130 (UPS next day service)

September 12, 2013: Received text to confirm delivery

September 16, 2013: Received NOA 1

March 22, 2014: Received NOA 2

April 8, 2014: File Received by NVC

May 26, 2015: Interview (approved)..........now LPR (delays caused by 2 RFE)
