NOA1 question

Hi again,

Sorry, just another question. How do you normally receive the NOA1? Do they e-mail and mail you, or just mail you?

Also, the date that people put on their timelines for "NOA1 Received", I assume that date is the date on the letter you get, not the date you actually got the letter, right?

Your NOA1 will be received via snail mail and yes the date that is put on the timelines is the date on the NOA1. If you sent a personla check and can see that it cleared look on the endorsement on the back as it will give you your case number it will be WACxxxxxxxx (for CSC). You can then use that to set up you account to monitor those ever allusive "touches".

Hello! You seem to have a similar situation to me (US + UK in Chicago...yay!) so I thought I would respond. This may or may not be accurate still, but even though you submitted your application to the Nebraska Service Center, it will likely be forwarded to California (as mine was). This causes a slight delay in receiving your NOA1, but never fear. If your check has been cashed, you will receive it soon. As soon as you get it, register for your online account and set up e-mail notifications so that any time they send you something in the mail you will know ahead of time.
