Hi!

I am about to send my parents DS230 Forms and Civil Documents. My question is, I am sending my Original Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate. My plan is to send Original on my Mom's Packet. But is it okay if I only send a Photocopy on my Dad's Packet? It is not allowed to get a Certified Copy of both my Birth and Marriage Certificate, at least in California per Notary guy have stated. Will they reject my Dad's Application if it's only photocopy? But the original is with my Moms application. Another thing, the 2 pictures (2x2) do i have to staple it on the DS230 Forms? and does it need their signatures also at the back of the pictures? Because it dis not specify anywhere so my parents did not sign it.

Thanks and any input is greatly appreciated.

it's my understanding that the birth certificate that you are submitting -

a photocopy is sufficient.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Is the death listed in the Hukou? You might be able to take your Hukou to the Gong Zheng Chu 公证处 and get a death certificate made from them. If not, they may be able to give you guidance on the correct procedure to obtain one.
