When to do fingerprints?

We will be filing (FINALLY) the I-130. I know that I will have to submit fingerprints at a later date. Is it okay to apply for the finger check before it's asked? The issue is that I have lived in about 4 countries since I was 16 and finger processing might take really long (5-6 mths) in some countries. Do I wait until I'm asked or just submit fingerprint application forms to all 4 countries now? Thanks a bunch!

You are asking about the police report. You need to find out from each embassy how long the police report is good for once you receive. I know many are only good for 3 to 6 months. You are just finally now you will have a wait of at best 5 months and worst 7 is the process now. Than another about 1 to 2 months at NVC when these police certificates are needed.

So I would contact them or check their websites. Good luck.

There is the fingerprinting at interview. But some countries to obtain your records what a fingerprint (whoe set or a thumb). So if its going to take all that time he may want to start now. Man can't imagine all that time. But check with each embassy. Some embassies deal directly with NVC and maybe its a situation like that.
