Hi VJ's

I had my early FP 20 days from now and I havent even heard back of anything. Im starting to worry if an early walk-in made the process go slower than it was meant to?

My case is with NBC.

I wish that I at least would be in line for an interview.

My GC anniversary is in December. Does this have something to do with it?

How long time did go from your (early) FP to be in line for interview? And when is your GC anniversary?

My theory is when you get close to your eligibility date (Dec) then you'll be put in line. If you interviewed now, they couldn't do anything until Dec, so it's a little early. Some people who get put in line shortly after bio have already been eligible for a long time, so there's no reason not to interview them.

Here's how ours went:

01-19-12 Biometrics (early)

03-14-12 Status update-In line for interview

03-15-12 Status update-Interview scheduled

(Eligibile date: 03-23-12)

04-26-12 Interview

So it was two months after bio with nothing, but a week short of eligible date BINGO...it all happened. Maybe that will be your experience too.

I see almost everyone who did early walk-in get in line up to one week after. Even someone who is eligible in December like me. Im starting to be worried that I will be one of the cases that take extra long time :-(

And after this we need to file for a K-1 visa also :-(

Here's the thread of people who filed in Sept like you http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/386276-n-400-september-2012-filers/page__view__findpost__p__5757157

Looking at the ones who applied to Phoenix like you, there are nine who show bio appointments. But only one is in line--Chantel. She got her greencard in October 2008. She was eligible a year ago. That's why she's the only one who has moved to "in line". Early biometrics did not slow you down from being in line. Its too early to be in line for December 2012. Chantel is late for the October 2011 line so that's why she has moved ahead.

Try doing service request over and over.

Respectfully - that's not going to do anything. It may not "hurt" but it's wasting the time of the workers who could better be spending their time helping people who are over the processing time or who have legitimate problems in their cases.

Online updates can be hit and miss. Some people get their IL and oath and it still shows them in line, or whatnot. Don't rely on the online system to accurately reflect where you are in the process.

If you're within the 5 months total processing time, sit tight, things will move along.
