Hey Guys,

Filling out the I-130 for my wife, I have a couple of questions regarding the name. She has 3 names for her Given Name and two for her Surname on the US Visa and Guatemalan Passport... However, upon last entry, it was written her first Given Name and First Surname on her I-94. Which of these do we use on the I-130? I've been using it on other forms exactly the same as it is on the I-94 as most of the forms it won't fit the entire name... I'm assuming that we use it the same exact way on all forms (G-325a, I-465, I-693, I-845, etc). Is this correct? Should I put her full Surname and the first Given Name?

I'm sure I will have additional questions as I go through this - I have never done it before. Just the paperwork is a VERY long process, I can only imagine how it will be afterwards.

Been going through the site and there is a lot of very helpful information here.

Thanks in advance!

-Jason

What visa is she adjusting from?

If the name does not fit, and you cannot write it in smaller by hand, I would use the first and main name and put the others in "other names used".

She currently has a tourist visa.

So I would put just the one first name and the one last name, and place the others in C7 - or in my case, attached separately, because it is very long and I also want to put the name that she plans to use when she gets her social. Then use the same single first name and single last name on all other forms and attache the same (for each form) to the additional forms that ask for other names used. Does this sound right? :)

Thanks!

Back again guys! :) Thanks for the help so far!

I have prepared a cover letter that I want you guys to review and let me know if I should make any changes, add anything else or split anything up. There were also times when I sent money to her, before she came here and we got married. Should I include these records... and since she is already here, should I include photos from before she came, showing that we were already in a relationship (I already have, but should I remove them?) or will it cause problems?

Also, since she came here, we always add prepaid balance to her mother's phone so that they can communicate and it not cost an arm and a leg. Would it help us out at all if we include this as well?

Thanks a million!
