Going on 7 months now. No word. No RFE. No way to find out anything. The government has the dates on the websites set up where they do not have to deal with anything because it is still within "normal processing time". This normal processing timeframe is based on a table of all of the apps that was last updated OCTOBER 30th!!! The uscis page says K1 VSC 5.2 months, the other page says on Oct 30 they were doing app NOA1 date May 28th!! Gives them a loophole from which they do not have to do any work to check on your app when you call them.

Hi JJ, I've had the same bull story from them. I was able to convince an officer to give me a service request on the basis their times were outdated on the web but it didn't help. Got a letter telling me to wait 60 days. My last call to USCIS I spoke to another officer who said I need to stop writing and calling them, that it may delay my case more if they have to pull it from the adjunctor that's already working on it. My contact at my senator's office returns next week, will speak to him again... Don't know what else to do. Next week will be 7 months.

Curious:

I just received a case status update that reads:

Your case status ### is now updated. On January 8, 2013, your address was changed relating to the I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

Has her address been changed to my address? I'm not sure what this means. Both of our addresses are corrected as submitted on the initial forms.

Thanks

Wonderful....

Somehow a change of address was submitted my someone else using my receipt number. I was able to speak with a USCIS rep and told them I did not enter the change of address request. They could not give me the attempted address change info because it had not been entered yet.

I wonder how much more time will be added.

F#@k!
