So far I've not received any answers to my questions on here! :( I hope a kind soul will answer me this time!

I went to the Passport seva kendra today to get my PCC,and they asked for some checklist. What checklist are they asking for? Is it the Packet 3 checklist or Packet 4 checklist about the docs I have to take to the interview?? Or is there any other checklist that I have no idea about?

Please someone answer me! I have my interview after 2 weeks and i don't even have my PCC yet

Now I was unaware so I went to passport office.

Officer : Pls get a appointment letter (which has barcode and our details)

Me: How do I do that

Officer : say login --> update your details --> select PCC --> no need to appointment time and day for PCC -->it will generate a barcode letter --> bring me the letter

Me: Thanku

I was back in same office in an hour, starting morning 9 till afternoon 1 i got my PCC..

Also if they have changed the process....No harm in asking them ''what checklist'' pls ask they wil help

Thanks for answering! I live in Gujarat.

Anyway, I went to the passport office here in Baroda, and they asked for some checklist. I'm guessing it's Packet 3/4. Did you have to show any of the packets to get the PCC? That was the first thing they asked for and I looked blank. The guy there said it's a checklist with my BMB no. (I looked baffled). The only documents i have with my BMB no. are the NOA1 letter and NOA2 (I've received an interview appointment as an email). I called up Mumbai consulate and the lady I talked to didn't know what checklist  I'll just take my packet 3 and 4.

I hope i get my PCC soon. I don't want to reschedule my interview

Thats right...Its the checklist issued by NVC.

Also no need to re-schedule the interview for this....if u dnt get it by then, u can get the interview done, but u will get visa stamped later after submission...they issue u 221(g)

Read Reviews: Embassy/USCIS & POE India Section............. in Visajourney. Many people had some or the other docs missing however after interview they were asked to submit

Gd Luck to you

PS : Its good u get it done b4 interview...coz u dnt give them a chance to question

Thanks a lot! I was never given a checklist by the NVC, without which the PSK in Ahmedabad does not issue PCC. In fact, I got my interview appointment email even though I didn't send any form or documents to the NVC. Apparently, passport offices in other states of India don't require the checklist. How frustrating  I'll have to try and ask the NVC to send me a letter requesting the PCC or try to convince the PSK to grant me the certificate using the interview email.
