Haha you're SO sweet aww. Unfortunately though I live in Los Angeles! We went to see a wedding venue for the first time today. I'm more excited than I thought I would be:) I think that's great!

Timeline

The only person from my husband's side of the family at our wedding was his mother.

I don't have many friends, but I still have a few.

To be fair, we just had my sister and her fiance stand up for us.

I didn't even know this until watching 'say yes to the dress: bridesmaids' but apparently they pay for their own dresses! If you don't have a close friend, it doesn't seem fair to request someone pay for a dress just to have an even number of people.

At my wedding my party wasn't balanced either. I did have friends come from my home country (easy to convince them to come to escape Canadian winter to come to Southern Cali), and for the remainder I asked either relatives or my husband's friends to be bridesmaids. The balanced numbers is for tradition and for photo symmetry. :) You can always do fun portraits where the symmetry isn't necessary :)
