I know there are a lot of these posts, but I didn't see any that pertained to my particular situation and I am at my wit's end trying to find out how to get this fixed.

I'm the petitioner (is that right? I'm the person in the US trying to bring in a foreign fiancee). When I submitted the paperwork to the USCIS for the fiancee visa, I didn't notice that there was a mistake on the G325A form for my fiancee. She has two last names, and only one of them was put on the G325A form.

I contacted the USCIS via phone when I found out about this problem (after they had received the application and send me the receipt notice). I was told to write a letter to my particular service center informing them of the mistake. I did this and I received notice from the postal service that they did receive the letter.

I got no reply. Shortly thereafter I received notice that they had approved the petition and sent it to the NVC. They had not corrected the last name issue or even acknowledged the letter I sent. My attempts to contact the NVC were equally unsuccessful. The paperwork is now at the US Interests Section in Havana, and I am again having ABSOLUTELY NO HELP in getting this problem solved.

At this point, I don't know what to do. My fiancee was contacted by the US Special Interests Section and they want her to go pick up some paperwork, but I am worried that they will not give it to her without the proper last names on the G325A form.

Any advice is appreciated, I'm really worried now and I am at my wit's end trying to get this corrected. Thanks!

Yes, you are the petitioner.

A simple mistake on the G-325A form is generally not a big deal at all. Your fiance should fill in another, completed properly, and bring it with her for the interview.

So, do you guys think there will be any problems with her picking up the paperwork in Havana? We aren't at the interview phase yet, she just going getting the paperwork now. I'm worried that they may not give her the documents with the other last name missing; the notice she received to go to Havana only listed one of her last names.

are you talking about the nvc package? they will not send that to her..it will be send to the consulate the one that you choose/write in the I-129F.

my suggestion pershaps in her interview just bring an correction of your G-325A...just incase they ask you have it..but otherwise i'm not even going to mention it because they might send it back to USCIS or NVC to do the background check lol

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

Yes.....the consulate/Special Interests Section in Havana contacted her and wants her to pick up some documents. I'm worried they may not give them to her due to this last name discrepancy.

Traveling to Havana is kind of an ordeal for her (and expensive for me since I foot the bill) so I don't want her to go there only to be turned away due to this little problem

Best of all, email, call or contact the embassy through their webpage. Remember to put your embassy case number as subject if you're e-mailing them. http://havana.usint.gov/contact_us.html

Has anyone had any luck getting ahold of them? I've been trying for quite some time and all I usually get is a busy signal or it rings endlessly with no answer, and eventually tells me the call cannot be completed as dialed.

I'm dialing 011 537 834 4400. I have to use Skype since I have no long distance phone service.

You could also try one of these numbers.

011 5378333551

011 5378333559

011 5378344400

011 5378331084

And they saw my husbands first last name as his middle name and everything went through fine. (a bit different than your situation since both names were listed, just not properly.)

I understand about traveling a long distance to make this happen - you could also try emailing them.

HavanaConsularInfo@state.gov Be sure to put the case number HAV........ in the subject line and put Petitioner: you, Beneficiary: her and then your email. I got a response eventually. I agree calling is better. Good luck!
