Im here in California almost 6 months now but still dealing homesickness..trying to get a job but its not that easy. .I will be going back to Philippines on January to pick up my 2 kids but im worried they might not like it here too..I dont know if bringing them here is a right decision..They are so close to their dad and everytime i tell them that they are coming in US soonn, the will say No and they want to stay with their dad..They are only 3 and 6 years old and i miss them so much . i always cry almst everyday coz i miss them so much..They already have their k2 visa..Im just really confuse if i should bring them here or should I give up my american dream and just go back to Philippines and be with my kids and they can be with their dad at the same time. I came here through k1 and now have conditional GC

Hi Kjay, thanks for sharing your experience here, i totally understand what you feel this time,(same same here)but i am travelling back to my family to spend xmas and new yr...in your case its really hard to decide which is good for the kids, they are still young and they need you..you will be happier if your kids are with you, i think this will help your homesickness..you will get busy taking care of them..you can bring them here, send them to school and be as one family..but you still need a father consent (DSWD)that your ex is allowing them to bring the kids here...i hope this will help you out on your situation..adjustments take time, the younger kids the better, and they will get used to the environment, people, culture and adopt quickly.Just an opinion...

Where in California are you? I am originally from San Diego, Ca and there is a great Philippino community there. A lot of my really good friends from back home are Philippino.

Best of luck!
